Challenges
Challenge-1
- Activities are calls,tasks,meetings. We need to get its Related Account when logging an activity with Parent Type as Projects.
- There has to be tracking of the activities of the projects related to the account in its record view.
Challenges-2
- Creating custom schedulers to track the planned activities.
- We have also customized such that the values of the modules comes in to the opportunities,accounts and contacts during lead conversion for custom fields.
Challenges-3
- There has to be a universal filter for each module which is accessible by every user where as current sugarcrm 7 version supports filters which can be created by a user and used by him only.
- Changing colors of sub panel header.
Challenges-4
- The sub panels remain open or closed based on the last state in which user has used them. This has to be opened for every time users logsin.
Project Solutions
- Created a custom Related Account field in the activities modules. This field gets displayed only when the activities ‘Related To’ field is Projects and made it as a mandatory field on this condition.
Solution-1
- Created a custom Related Account field in the activities modules.
- Created custom schedulers which tracks the planned activities and updated it in the Planned Activities Field.
- Created a custom dashboard on to the accounts record view to track the activities of the Projects related to the account.
Solution-2
- Planned Activities Count is updated by custom Scheduler and the list are updated In a Custom Dashboard
- We have created filter definitions based on filter fields present in the crm application and created a separate filter for the requested modules which can be used by every user.
- We have implemented such that irrespective of what the state of the sub panel is the sub panel remains open when ever a user logs in to the crm for all the modules.
Solution-3
- We have changed the colors requested by the client for the sub panel headers so that it looks more user friendly and attractive and subpanels are always open.
- Subpanels header colors have been changed and they are always open.
- We have also created custom sub panels to track the each activity separately.
