Requirements
- Entities like Employees, Departments, Projects, Workstations, on creation should have the stock locations created automatically.
- On approving the inspection, each and every product should go to it’s respective ownership department warehouse.
- Assignments and De-assignmentss should be done from Warehouse stock location to various stock locations in the company.
- Quarterly stock audit should be done to validate the locations of all the assets once in every 3 months.
- Different Departments like Admin, IT and Lab, create their own products and maintain their inventory separately.
- Inventory Reports should be available separately for Capital type products and Expense type products.
Challenges
- The Transition of application of standalone to ERP cloud based was a challenge to implement common finance application with almost 100+ finance users on the board.
- Material Requisition requests should be stopped from creation if the Management wants to restrict the requests, in case of budget/cost overrun.
- The team was using different application for a long time and wanted to have same look and feel on the common application.
- Purchase cycle should be restricted if the CFO/CEO wants to, when the budget overrun happens for any particular period.
- Automatic triggering of Approvals should be done based on the type of the products and estimated purchase amounts.
Results
- Once products were created, Purchase requisition requests were raised for the created products by any employee of the organization.
Inventory departments were created like Admin, IT and Lab and respective warehouses were created automatically. - Asset /Inventory Managers were able to receive the stock to their respective warehouses.
- AMC date, Renewals, Email Notifications, Depreciation etc.. are facilitated in the asset management.
- Asset /Inventory Managers for each Inventory department were able to create products that belong to their respective department.
- Only the accepted quantity was posted to stock while the rejected stock was moved back to the supplier location.
- Streamlining of the processes in Procurement and Inventory management cycle was done.
The client was able to use the application immediately after Implementation.
