Project Description for SAP Business Intelligence & Pentaho Analyst :

The primary function of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to support the information needs of internal and external customers through design, development and support of an effective business intelligence infrastructure and development and support of BI outputs, including reports (ad-hoc, automated, and self-service). Candidates must be skilled data mining and be able to comprehend complicated business processes. It is important that the candidate possess the ability to interact with internal and external customers and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Oracle PL/SQL and Pentaho BI Suite. Experience with database design and administration is a plus. Knowledge of logistics processes, terms and business procedures is preferred.

• Determine and analyze management requirements and usage of corporate data.
• Develop and publish reports using Pentaho Report Designer and Pentaho Analyzer as requested by internal and external customers
• Assist in design of Data Warehouse to support efficient and accurate reporting processes Drive/suggest new business procedures and/or process changes to enable efficient and accurate reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• Implement, Support, and Customize the Pentaho Business Intelligence Suite.
• Develop detailed design specs from high level design or analysis documents.
• Research, resolve, document, and communicate status of functional and data related issues.
• Monitors data quality and integrity with the goal of continuous improve of departmental output.
• Develop detailed test plans

Skills Required:

• ABAP/4 Development Workbench
• SAP BI 7.0 (Business Intelligence)
• Strong experience in ETL development using Pentaho Open Source
• Strong experience in OLAP development using Pentaho Open Source
• Very strong in SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle 10g environment.
• Strong experience in Reports development using Pentaho Open Source
• experienced Architect building financial Dashboard Apps with cognos or any open source tools such as Pentaho, Actuate, SQLpower etc.
